Deter Pest Solutions wasn’t born in a boardroom or sketched out on some corporate blueprint. It began in 2025 with a man named Christopher Partida (that’s me, haha)—a son of Homestead, Florida, who grew roots in Fort Myers. Life isn’t easy on anybody, but I feel learning is the best tool anybody could have. So many got frustrated with me asking too many questions when I was a kid, but we’re here now! While taking promotions in the food industry, a pest control career opportunity opened up for me. It wasn’t just work—it became my craft, a calling I wanted to perfect every late night and early morning, learning the quiet ways of termites, the persistence of mosquitoes, the secrets rodents whisper when no one’s listening.

But the story shifted when the local company I poured myself into sold out to a corporation. The paycheck fattened, sure, but I could feel the soul drain away. I felt it, and so did my customers. When I take care of my customers, I’m not just spraying. I’m communicating with them—letting them know there’s a leak in their attic or just showing that I care. Eventually, I had a chorus of customers singing to start my own company, so I did. :)

Deter Pest Solutions is alive! With my entomologist’s mind and heart full of Latin roots, I chose “Deter”—de- (away) and terrere (to frighten)—a word that hums with purpose: to drive pests off, to stand guard, to protect. But it’s more than that. It’s a vow to be there, to pick up the phone when it rings, to pull into your driveway the same day, to get it right the first time. It’s my way of saying, “You’re not just a job—you’re family.”

I built this company for the people I know best: the families of Fort Myers, the kids chasing fireflies, the pets chasing lizards on porches, the grandparents sipping tea in the shade. Every product we approve is safe—gentle enough for little hands, loyal paws, and fragile lungs—because I see too many eyes light up when the pests vanish and the worry fades. We’re not here to sell you a service; we’re here to hand you peace of mind, wrapped in a ‘we care’ attitude that feels like a warm handshake or a head nod across the fence.

Since 2025, Deter Pest Solutions has been more than a business—it’s been my heartbeat, a labor of love born from a boy who climbed ladders to build something better.
